About this School Project (4th Picture the Music)
Students listened to "Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity" from Gustav Holst's The Planets. As a class they came up with ideas of what it made them think of. They created a piece of art inspired by the music. These are entries to a contest put on by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Schoolwide winners are sent on to the SLSO and they choose "Top 100" winners who are then invited to an awards ceremony at Powell Symphony Hall in March.
