About this School Project (Ceramic Ice Cream Cone--3rd)
Third grade artists learned about creating sculpture from kiln fired clay. They learned about the vocabulary associated with using kiln-fired clay such as: kiln, bisque ware, green ware, fire, and glaze. Artists created an ice cream cone shaped piece from a slab (flat) piece of clay, then used ceramic glaze to add color.
