About this School Project (8th grade Everyday Object Sculptures)
After being shown the artworks created by famous artist Kleis Oldenberg, students will then design and build their own oversized sculptures of an "Everyday Object" of their choosing. Students will begin by building an armature of the object with cardboard, various papers and tape. Once the armature is built, they will cover them with a layer of plaster gauze, and then build 3D details onto the sculpture with air dry clay and plaster gauze. Students will finally paint and decorate their sculptures with acrylic paints.
