Hi Quintin, I'm always happy to see anyone playing in art. Don't know if you are aware, but painting is my playtime. I have a program that is for people who don't consider themselves "artists". It's meant to offer Zen moments with watercolor, no product, just process, all fun. Enjoy the journey. Go to the MFA in Boston and just walk through, see the amazing variation of expression in all types of media. I gather you have an engineer's brain, but there's a lot of creativity in engineering, and the math principles are found in art first.
