This is another great This work shows me perspective of depth, in that the checkered route appears to go into the distance as it narrows. The light and dark sections of the routes display the surface and the direction of the path that the balls are rolling on. And...the shading on the balls gives me the impression of how the light hits each ball due to the shadowing and gives the balls spherical shape. Well done, well done, well done. The perception of this piece makes me think of Da Vinci's "Last Supper" where again depth perception is noted as the room behind Christ and His apostles at the table appears smaller because it is made to look further back from the table. Great work here, Emerson.
