Mackenzie, my spidey sense is telling me that you might have drawn this while observing a real live pumpkin, like a "still life". If so, I am so glad and proud that you are working this way. There is nothing better than drawing from life. It's so good for your brain and your eyes and your hand. You did a great job identifying where the light is hitting and where the shadow is, nice subtly between the two that really gives it volume! I love that you are working also on dark paper and using light to draw with. Isn't that fun? It really makes it easy to use light to describe the form, right?
