Dear Owen, Your Arcade Pinball Machine is not just a work of art, but this project tells me something about you that is very important. You are learning about many things as a 6th grader, but you are also finding out what you really enjoy and have a special talent for doing. The pinball machine requires attention to detail—figuring out how the parts work, and getting them to work together. (Papaw and I have always thought you had an engineering talent). Then you painted and made it look really nice so others would want to play the game. Good job on this engineering and artistic project! Love, Mamaw

Dear Owen , I’ve been hearing a lot about this art project from you, you and it’s fun to see it in final form on Artsonia! Looks like you and your friends had a good time with the collage technique and you put a lot of humor into this piece as well? Keep creating! You are good at this! Love, Mom

Hi, Owen, I really like your latest art project "The Reef Pot!" The shades of green (and some blues?) remind me of the ocean and all the plants and creatures to explore there. I am interested in the materials you used to form the pot, if it hardened naturally or in a kiln, and how you might use it. Your pretty little reef pot reminds me of a fun day spent at the ocean collecting small shells and other treasures along the shore!

Owen, your artwork causes me to think about the space exploration that has happened in my lifetime, and how much more there is to learn about our earth and the universe. Your art also reminds me how important it is that we take good care of our planet. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent! -Mamaw

One just never knows what one may see in our great universe. Could it be a UFO? The sun sending warm rays of light to our planet? Maybe it is the moon exerting a gravitational pull that moves the tides on our world's oceans? I don't know but I sure do enjoy looking at this piece of art from a young artist. An admiring grandparent (Papaw!)
