This has to be my favorite piece..reminds me of your grandfather. He had such a knack with clay work in his time studying fine art. His pottery professor at UofL specialized in vessels that were useful: baking in, drinking from, vases to hold..that sort of thing. David did some pretty interesting abstract objects that I loved. Some I still have; many he gave as gifts. This one is quite nice, Love to you my first grandson, Nanz -- Lisa

Someone is going to want a tattoo of this...or better yet, it could be on an album cover or some uber cool craft beer. You've got something here that people will appreciate. Love, Nanz -- Lisa

You know I used to have frogs in my bathroom when your mom was a little girl. This one looks ready to hop on you...cool! Great expression captured in your piece. Nanz -- Lisa

Trey, your work is impressive! In particular, the use of various mediums with the newspaper background made it interesting and made me think about how the media, in print, can influence how we react to each other. I'd like to hear about what you were wanting those who see your art to see? -- Lisa "nana"
