I love this! Makes me feel like I’m staring into the eye of a real dragon! Bravo!!

I saw the hypnotic blue stone-like square first and loved it. I have to say the surrounding reptilian eye is something I can’t look away from. Hypnotic but troubling.

Love the depth and color. Wonderful piece!

I love this! The perspective is so interesting, and I love the combinaion of monochrome with the rainbow of color.

This is very thought provoking. Thankfully there are young people like you that give us hope for the future. Your art is amazing.

These flame-engulfed figures are so thought-provoking. Nina is clearly expressing her views in this work.

Papier-mâché? Ceramic? I love the shape and the colors. Reminds me of a little elfin mushroom. Would love to know the dimensions.

These faces are so expressive! And I love the Crayola colors. Once again Nina’s work keeps growing and getting more interesting.

This one seemed unusual among Nina's work -- colors and content quite different from some of her others. The text bits give it a collage-y feel.

For some reason I didn't comment on this when it first appeared. I think the colors and textures are just beautiful, and I love the assymetric arrangement of the objects.

Is this ceramic work? So different from the works on paper. I love the colors. Wonder what the actual dimensions are. It's impressive.

I love the colors here, and the undulating shapes— reminds me of an ancient map of the world.

Nina, this is beautiful! I live the clolrs

How did I miss this piece? The technique here reminds me of something we sometimes do in ceramics -- are you incorporating silk screen decals? Absolutely gorgeous colors.
- Savta on February 26, 2023
This beautiful scene looks like nature brought into a stage set, or the other way around. Did Nina, who's a performer, have that in mind? It looks like a stand-alone, three-dimensional work. Wish I could see the real thing!
- Savta on February 26, 2023
There’s so much going on here! Suggestions of faces, geometric shape combinations, and of course Nina’s signature bold colors. I love it!

Wow, I love this! The opposing pigments work together so interestingly. Opposing but complementary. Again wish I could see the original. Love the colors!

This is a departure, right? I love the colors and the texture (three-dimensional?). Wish I could see it up close.

I loved this one when it first went online -- very intricate, very colorful. It grabs you.

Hmmm, I feel like this is a departure. And yes, spectral. Wonder what inspired this, and the colors are new too. There's a lot going on here, a lot to think about.

I must have missed the artist's explanation of this newest work, but I find it calming -- wonder if she saw it as a respite in this crazy time. The colors are lovely, more muted than in some of Nina's work, suited to the watery, flowy theme.

This takes me to a calm beautiful beach. I can see the crystal clear blue water and this fish swimming leisurely by.
- Sandy on December 31, 2020
This piece and Nina's explanation of it encouraged me to search out the work of Horace Pippin, whom I'd never heard of, and I feel added to my appreciation of this work. Nina's colors give this room a Fauvist feel -- the bold colors for the furniture and for the candles, and the unexpected color combinations which I've loved in much of her art. I love the textured floor; it seems to undulate. The whole piece just draws you into the room.

I love your use of color. I really like this piece.

It's always exciting when a new artwork by Nina arrives in my inbox. The explanation Nina gave for how this one came to be, and what it represents, is so interesting. I wonder if Nina's ever seen the work of Al Hirschfeld and knows the story behind them, which involves the name Nina. I have a couple of questions: Who is Moe Brooker? How big is the original piece?
- Savta on November 11, 2020
I love this work and found Nina's explanation so interesting. Wonder how it would look with the yellow background -- probably she would want to vary the foreground colors as well, in that case. What does Jawn mean? Is it because they weren't allowed to mention actual candidates' names?

I love the new interactive aspect! Wish Saba and I were close enough to turn the pages and see all the possibilities in the latest work.

Saba and I love this new work of Nina’s. Was Dali’s Melted Clocks the inspiration? He would appreciate how Nina has gone beyond his surrealism with her own creative touch. -- Savta

The bold colors are perfect for this very physical figure — it looks ready to spring off the page. It seems triumphant and as bold as the colors and pose. -- Eleanor
