I know that creating three dimensional art (if that's the artistic term for it) is difficult. I know I couldn't do it. You nailed it. Sorry I didn't comment sooner, but here I am now!

I think that this painting shows such a wonderful color palette and shaping that the whole picture shows movement. That's hard to do, but Nikko has done it! This painting dances!

I see pelicans every year in Florida, and they are wonderful to watch. In the air, they are graceful, and they fly in formations that are wonderful to watch. When they perch, they look clumsy and kind of goofy. You've captured them in such a unique way. Thank you for this picture!

Nikko, has anyone ever taught you about perspective in art? It's not a skill that's easy to achieve, and it takes lots of practice. But you've got that skill, and in the fourth grade! Wow. PS Look up some paintings by Marc Chagall. Your painting here reminds me of his work.
