This Blue Gnome is soo you. I can't wait to see it when you bring it home. I am also impressed that you are working with pottery. Hope you are enjoying Art, like Sydney did.
- Jeannie on January 26, 2022
Perfect baby dinosaur. This reminds me of what Sydney does before she does her needlepoint, with crochet thread. I like the way it turned out after following the block/squares.
- Jeannie on January 26, 2022
I love this one. Makes me want to pick up a paint brush and start painting. But, as you know, Aspen, Gramma is not very good at drawing, or painting.
- Jeannie on January 26, 2022
Awe, this is so cute. He is such a good puppy. I can't believe how realistic he looks. Great job, Spin.
- Jeannie on January 26, 2022
You are getting good at drawing Snoopy. He is hugging Woodstock so tight, and really shows his feeling of Love with the red hearts. Great job Aspen.
- Jeannie on January 26, 2022
That is a cool looking gnome!
- Dan on January 19, 2022
A very cute candy factory. I love the details, especially the snowman outside to help us know it's winter. - Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on January 13, 2022
I love this picture. You did a really good job capturing the essence of Spongebob. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? - Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on January 13, 2022
Very cool dragon! It looks like it must have taken quite a bit of time to trace/draw each individual line. - Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on January 13, 2022
The cutest gnome EVER! I really like how the colors turned out and can't wait to put him on the mantle at home. I feel like he should have a name...
- Michelle (Mother) on January 13, 2022
I have to say, my favorite part of this picture is the fire wall sconces. That, and the level of grass for the deer to live on. I wonder if it was easier or harder to draw with gridlines? - Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on October 21, 2021
I love how you are exploring with pastels! The river adds a touch of depth to your picture. Great job! - Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on October 21, 2021
This is a really interesting piece. I can tell you focused on the details of the brushes and practiced shadowing. I love how they are 'layed out' on the paper in an almost geometric pattern and the colored paint splatters ties the whole piece together and adds another element of depth. One of my favorite pieces so far!
- Michelle (Mother) on May 17, 2021
I adore this bat, Aspen! I especially like how he is in flight, and seems ready to snatch some type of food (hopefully bugs). Great job!
- Michelle (Mother) on May 17, 2021
Ooo, I like the colors on this one! I also like the different style of flowers, all fitting into one bouquet. Very pretty! Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on April 13, 2021
I haven't seen this one yet, you must still have it at school? I'm wondering if you traced this one or if it was free draw like your bats? Very regal looking buck, but it does look like he has quite the hill to climb. :) Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on April 13, 2021
Of course, I love your subject material, Aspen. The coloring of the fruit makes it really 'pop' and the bat's character really stands out with the way he is eating his food. :) Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on April 13, 2021
This is a well drawn picture and extremely cute. I love how you included the pencil with the drawing - it adds depth and make it seem like someone caught you in the act of drawing.

Very patriotic! Busy and alive!
- Dan on January 20, 2021
Oh man, Aspen, when I saw your picture's title and then it came on the screen I literally laughed out loud. I LOVE Purple Guy. Not sure what inspired you, but this is very whimsical and, of course, made out of my favorite color. :)

I love, love, love, your Jim Burton inspired Halloween character. Very spooky looking. Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on November 4, 2020
Aww, Aspen, what an adorable flower. I like the square line, not your usually curvy flower. Very Minecraftish. The black eyes and smile kind of gives it a sinister feel, and yet the color is so bright and cheerful. Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on November 4, 2020
A very adorable picture, Aspen. I really like how you used pen for the dog's fur, it gives it a very realistic quality. The bits of orange and yellow on the penguin as well as the blue dog's collar really pop on the black, white, gray picture.
- Michelle (Mother) on October 23, 2020
You're pumpkin is adorably scary, Aspen. The eyebrows give it a meanness, yet the arms accentuate the roundness of the pumpkin which makes it seem sort of cuddly. I also like your use of gold/yellow to accent the eyes and teeth.
- Michelle (Mother) on October 23, 2020
Lovin all your facial features, but these lips are especially good. The shading makes them look so real. Mom

Oh, Aspen, this is lovely! I love the way you use the color to accent the original pencil drawing! I can just picture the pinecone dangling from the tree, almost ready to fall off. Mom
- Michelle (Mother) on November 18, 2019
Your pumpkin drawing is almost a "splitting image" of the model. I like how you shaded the table at the bottom to make it look like it was standing. Lovely, Aspen. Jeannie.
- Jeannie on November 18, 2019
Your snowflakes are absolutely beautiful. Using the white and red contrast in very impressive. What a wonderful drawing to remind someone that Christmas is coming. Beautiful. Jeannie.
- Jeannie on November 18, 2019
I like the color of your pine cone. The deep red color reminds me of all the fall colors on all the trees. The black line weaving through your cone gives it contrast. great job Aspen. Jeannie.

Yes, Aspen, your pumpkin is very cool. I like the lines - it give it character. And it looks like you tried to do a little shading? Love it! Mom

This picture reminds me that Halloween in coming. Are you getting excited for Halloween?
- on September 19, 2019
Took me a minute, but I see the dog! This is a very creative medium - was it sand like the title implies? It looks like it was fun to create. Reminds me of the sand artist we watched on America's Got Talent. This is definitely one of my favorites. -- Michelle
- on April 23, 2019

lol Aspen, I love your umbrella and the look on his face. I notice you have 2 suns and one rain cloud. Does that mean you like to have more sun? I am not quite sure what the little man walking up the board is going to get into when he reaches the top. Is that a cup of something hot or a swimming pool? love the whole picture it made me laugh. -- gramma jeannie

Drool, ick. I hate it when dogs drool. You made it look like this dog is pouring drool all over his victim. Not only that but the dog is 4 times bigger than the person. Did you have Tater in mind when you were drawing this? This one really made me laugh. -- Jeannie
