Wondering if the white shapes represent pasta, Rhett. Immediately I saw pizza and grapes maybe. The strong bold colors you chose in this piece, including the delineated deep red, draws one’s eye to circle around and focus on your food choices. Your platter also, with such a lovely blue fringed border, keeps your eye focused on the food. I suspect that this plate full of delicious food is sitting on your wooded table. I’m feeling hungry right now!!! As usual, I find your unique, creative, and artistic work delightful!

These blooms have a lot of intricate details, Rhett. To me they are simple, whimsical, and seem to be gently blowing in the wind. I love your style. Makes me smile! ??

I get the sense of speeding motion illustrated with your drawn lines. Can also see the lines drawn indicating your cul-de-sac location. You seem to move confidently freewheeling and zooming with arms excitedly raised while on your skateboard. Rhett, your creative painting moved me right to the beach on a blue sky day with powerful crashing waves. I like the vivid blue color with its multiple hues. Your wavy blue lines which gave lots of movement in this scene, were really accentuated by the application of white. Your painting invites me to get swept away in the refreshing waves.

Paul Klee is one of my most favorite artists. You captured his style well, Rhett. Brilliant watercolored towers leaning in several directions adds whimsy. The hot air balloon towering above the city leads the eye to focus on the city escape then on up to the ballon and back in fluid movement. As Klee once said, “a line is a dot that went for a walk”. I sure like how your dot walked your page!
