This is so beautiful in colors and effects. I have always wanted to see the northern lights so now you have brought them to me. Great job, Skylar!

WOW! I love this latest picture. It is so colorful and full of energy. Didn’t I see you do this dance move last time we were together? The background is full of beautiful contrasts. Very nice work, Skylar!

This looks like the usual balancing act you do for all your activities in Denver. Grandpa

What a great dream catcher! I have always been interested in these. Will you hang it in your room? Very nice job, Skylar!

Very geometrical & precise. Excellent work. Grandpa

This beautiful mandala reminds me of a kaleiscope. Did it take a long time to do? How do you transfer the design? Very interesting!

I love all the colors and details in this reflection picture. The scalloped edges are a nice touch. Good work, Skylar!

Is that a tray with 4 holes in it with four handles holding some kind 0f medal? Grandpa

Does the big S stand for Skylar or Superwoman? Grandpa
- on September 18, 2019
Interesting use of many colors! I think you picked S as your letter because it is your initial. It also stands for SUPER which you are as an artist! Love, Grandma

Although your Spring & Summer hats are delightful, I think you need two separate hats for Winter & Fall. You could get some leaves in there! Grandpa

These are so cute! Where can I buy one? I wonder what a fall one would look like! Very imaginative and creative. Good job, Skylar!

I love this! You did such a good job capturing yourself. I’m not sure about the purple hair, though. I like the collage background. Good job, Skylar!

This is a amazing piece of art! The pencils must have been very rubbery. Good imagination!

Pencil Man (or Woman). You have to watch out that with all the erasers he or she has, there might be an unfortunate erasure. Good work!!

Is that a tatoo on the back of a hand or a neat little heart in the palm of a hand? The hand is well supported on a cloth with really neat designs. Keep up the good work. Grandpa

That looks like a hot pad with a neat face on it looking up at whatever you might put on it (a coffee cup?) Grandpa

That looks like it could be a coffee cup hot pad with a face looking up at the cup when it is removed. Good work! Grandpa

Is that someone looking out at me with one eye from a coffee cup? Grandpa

Dear Skylar, Another fascinating, scary art work! A one eyed monster is very unusual and imaginative. How do you come up with your ideas? I see you used one of your favorite colors...teal! Love, Grandma

Don't know what a Kuna Mola Project is. However, I like the well-fed brown mouse with the slightly different ears. He/she seems to be generating different color radiation waves. Grandpa

I like all the colorful designs that your mouse seems to be surrounded by. Do they make him dizzy?

I like the vanishing point established in this artwork. Is it a river or a road? Are the plants inside a seed in the earth? The mountains must have been easy for you to draw as you see them every day!

I like the perspective of the river stretching out to the Denver mountains (where you recently skied). I'm still trying to figure out what are drawn on the banks of the river. Grandpa

I see you have nailed your name to a nice, wooden backboard. Although there is a starry background, where will you put the backboard with your name? Grandpa

Skylar! This looks like a big colorful blimp announcing your arrival somewhere. The use of color and shading is very pretty, not to mention the starry sky. Love, Grandma and Grandpa

That's a very good picture showing your surprise or happiness. What is it about?
-- Grandpa

Skylar, I'm guessing that your pinch pot is part of an upside down 'puddy tat' that would like something like M&M's to pinch. Let me know if that makes 'puddy' wiggle. Good work!

This is a very clever piece of art and must have been fun to work with the clay and glazes! I am calling it the awkward calico cat. Great job, sweetie! Love, Grandma

Skylar, I like your different kinds and sizes of fish you have swimming around. It looks like they could be in an aquarium or the Mediterranean Sea.

Skylar, You are creating neat stuff with yarn instead of paint. I see a girl with a big grin and long hair spilling down past her shoulders. She has a blue dress on. Am I close? Grandpa

Skylar, I think you are trying to get me hungry. It looks like a lot of plates are set up for lunch or dinner, but I can't tell what delicious condiments are in those neat bottles in the foreground. I bet you could tell me. Keep up the good work. Grandpa.

Skylar, I like your car driving over the bridge which is over the water. That water has a lot of fish in it, so I bet you could look down from the car and see some of them. When your car gets over the bridge, you could stop and pick some of those pretty flowers you drew. It's a very pretty painting.
