Hey Vera, the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture is that it looked like you when you were dressed up as Pharaoh! I wonder if this is his sarcophagus! This one doesn't look as mean as the Pharaoh from the Passover story however. Beautiful picture. Have you ever seen a real sarcophagus? If you want, maybe we can see one with a real mummy over Passover!

Hi Vera - This is a really cool picture. What an interesting tree. I remember first hearing about Baobab tree when I read the story "The Little Prince" in French class. Did you hear that story yet? It looks like a very big tree compared to the little person you drew. Who is that person? Could it be the little prince? Love your design and choice of colors! Love you too!

Hey Vera, Allen saw your portrait and immediately said it looked like a Modigliani. He saw an large exhibit on this artist when he was in France last year. (He could have shown you lots of pictures of them). He thought you did a great job since he could recognize the artist you were imitating right away. I think this portrait is fantastic!
