Amazing creativity. I hope I was one of the people in the pictures!

According to Tucker, "The symbols at the bottom are images of things I like, like holidays and the night sky. Behind the mountains, there are a whole row of people's faces--you can see different hair colors, one eyeball and a nose for each person--and these are all the people I care about. It was pretty hard to fit them all in, so it ends up looking less like people and more like a lot of rectangles."

From Tucker: "This is a half-demon punk (the red side) and the purple side is someone trying to fix himself and do the right thing. In the background there are eagles and skulls; the skulls belong to the evil red side, while the eagles represent justice and belong to the good side. The assignment was to draw a portrait of someone that also shows that person's world view, and how their world is changing."

This is "King Werekid," with two flaming skulls in the background. He has a crown of rockets, flaming shoulder guards, and a fur cape stitched to his yellow shirt. There are green-and-brown volcanoes in the background.

I could have been the person in your picture when your grandpa and I looked for Nessie when we visited Scotland. We didn't have a drone camera to check it out though! Hope you will be able to go there yourself someday. Nice picture!

This is the Loch Ness Monster, "Nessie," and a person hunting Nessie. The object at the top is a camera that the hunter has just launched to watch Nessie from above. (Tucker's description)

I finally sat down with Tucker and went over some of these artworks posted on Artsonia. This one is actually much cooler than I could tell from a casual look. They had to combine a real object with a real animal to come up with a metaphorical mythical creature, and this is a "Wolffle-maker". Mostly wolf, with a waffle-maker for his chest. I can much better understand the handles and the steam coming off that area now!

After speaking with the artist, this is the midsection of a project he ran out of time before completing as he had in mind. While working on his "imaginary friend" he began with the middle; the dots around the bottom and sides are where the arms and legs were envisioned to eventually attach, and the neck is stretching upward. Because his friend is part-human, part-robot, he has two hearts with four chambers, which are the hearts with crosses that you see.

In this project the students were asked to make amusement park rides. Tucker's version is a waterslide, and you can see his various family members climbing the stairs and splashing down the slide.

This great horned owl was Tucker's first time using watercolor crayons and pencils. While he was not pleased with how this drawing turned out (I asked him about it), he really likes great horned owls, and wants to try using the watercolor crayons again. I like how he tried to add texture to the feathers with the black.
