This piece captures the subject's vulnerability (and perhaps the artist's as well?). She is all made up with rosy cheeks and lips, yet her expression is meek and mild. Her mascara is smeared... was she crying? Is she trying to smile through a painful time? I hope we can all smile through such times. A very beautiful work of art. It speaks to me.

The sublime beauty of the figurative-narrative line-space matrix verges on codifying the exploration of montage elements. Well done, Viv.

Vivian is my Grand daughter and she is a very creative artist. She is also the best Grand daughter any one could ever want.

Vivian, One of the biggest joys in my life is to watch you create your works of art. You have a beautiful perspective and this piece demonstrates that quite nicely. Love, Mom

The colors are similar to what Vivian used when she colored eggs at our house! I can see Easter in her artwork. ---Papa
