Your illusion artwork is very impressive, Billy. When I focus on the darker green, the stairs go in one direction. When I focus on the lighter green, they go in another direction...quite clever! Hugs to Billy from Grandma

Billy, your illusion art work was very impressive! It reminds me of the Minecraft game where you build things with blocks. I like how you have the illusion of being able to walk up the blocks either from the right or left. Very clever! Grandpa

Billy, your Abstract Geometric Design started with green and black rectangles, overlaid with yellow squares, red triangles, blue circles, pink rectangles, and green hexagons. Each color shape was shown six times. Your art work was very striking and colorful. Grandpa

Billy, your paper cone Christmas tree was very clever. It was interesting to see how you made paper cones and then assembled them to create a Christmas tree. The red ribbon on top of the tree was a perfect finishing touch.

Billy, your perspective drawing was very cleaver. You drew regular city houses in front. Behind the houses were office buildings and tall skyscrapers filling the rest of the drawing. Your project was very impressive.

Billy, I enjoyed seeing your painting of a Banyan tree. It brought back happy memories of visiting Florida and seeing a Banyan Tree. I like that you show the tree expanding it’s branches along the ground. Billy, did you know that the Banyan tree represents eternal life, because of its ever-expanding branches? Grandpa

Billy, you used your imagination and your artistic talents to paint a wonderful Banyan tree, and your painting reminded Grandpa and me about the times we visited Florida when your Mom was a little girl. Billy, we liked your clay Pueblo Indian as he shouts out an old Indian story to the many children gathered around listening. The story must have been about the eagle on the Indians chest and how the Indian got his feathered headdress.

Billy, when we came for grandparents day at your school and toured the schools art show, we did not realize that your painting was done on a cloth and that you used glue to create the patterns and chalk as the dye. We were impressed with the geometric patterns you created. It was fun to see all your art work up close at the art show. When we saw this art work at home, we were even more impressed.

Billy, I liked your use of simple forms of straight lines and circles, making them look like a bike frame. You then added bright and vivid colors to the drawing that caused the bike frame to pop out of the picture.

Billy, your two point perspective drawing really shows the images appearing to get smaller as you get further into the drawing. The picture really seems to converges into a point on the horizon. Billy, I like how you have your gold fish hiding behind the red coral and seaweed. I also see a small turtle swimming behind the gold fish ready to bite his tail. There is a rare black oyster on the sandy bottom, along with a blue starfish. You did a very nice painting.

Billy, your sunflower picture is beautiful. The colors are so bright, and the flowers look like they are reaching out to the sun which is shining through a window near the table where the vase was placed. I like the way some of the flowers are open all the way, and some are buds not quite ready to open completely. We have seen some of VanGogh's sunflower paintings in art museums, and you worked very hard to create sunflowers like the artist did. Your sunflower picture is one of Grandma's favorites.
