Katelyn, I love this little owl who looks so curious and as though he is listening for something coming. He looks as though he is ready to hop up and fly away. I like your full use of the page and the contrast of the light bright, green, orange and yellow with the overall dark background and feathers. Katelyn, you have done well to capture the essence of Monet and his watercolor vision. I am very impressed that you have done this so well and also have interpreted Van Gogh. Watercolors can be difficult in themselves but you have done very well with this medium. I like your design. Katelyn, I love your little birdies. You artwork is surprising because it uses so many elements well. First is he message or thought it conveys with the birds all looking at something they are evaluating and discussing how it affects them. While it is snowy, there is the hint of spring in the colors and the hope of the colorful upward strokes of the tails. You use the whole page well and the design is well placed. The colors balance and the whole works to convey the message. The birds are charming and I would like to know what they are saying. The snow looks real. This is a delightful piece. Katelyn, I love this happy scarecrow. He is doing a good job guarding those beautiful big pumpkins. The bright blue autumn sky balances the orange color very well. The straight lines of Mr. Scarecrows hat and arms, with the evenly dark jacket and hat show determination and say STOP. This is a perfect contrast to the rounded lines and soft colors of the landscape and pumpkin crop. This is a very interesting piece in design and color and it conveys the message perfectly. Mmmmmm Pizza! I can smell it. This is a very good pepperoni pizza picture. I like the way you use ALL the paper. Very nice artwork.
