I love this idea! Whenever I have someone new to watercolor painting, I give them the three primary colors and have them make as many colors as they can. I love how you then selected an ink outline to make the shape!

I agree, Alanna. Designing and painting the fish which shows their color and motion is relaxing. I took my adult painting class to visit a koi pond and just watching them swim and their colors interact is relaxing. A great choice of subject matter! I understand the fun of creating the koi with their brilliant colors and their motion in the water. I took my adult painting class to see a koi pond that one of my friends has. We watched over 20 beautiful koi swim and I took loads of photos. Thanks so much for sharing. I love to see how your artwork is developing!
