Hi Justin: Your drawing of a hot air balloon reminds me that I have never taken a ride up in the sky in a hot air balloon. I did not realize that once you are up in the air in the balloon, there is no steering mechanism for a person to use to direct the balloon! I did find a website with many pictures of hot air balloons, all of which were very colorful. You certainly were aware of this, as you have used many colors to depict the balloon. It looks as though you certainly enjoyed drawing and coloring this subject. Love, Aunt Diane -- Auntdiane

Hi Justin: I enjoy your paintings, not only for the color and composition, but for the fact that they make me do some investigation into the artist you have been studying. I hope you continue to enjoy painting. Love, Aunt Diane -- Aunt Diane

Justin: It certainly is time for snow and red cardinals! Their brightness stands out in the white snow. Uncle Harry & I just visited the Botannical Gardens, and their gift shop was selling little cardinal ornaments made of red straw material. I purchased one and it sits on our Christmas Tree. Every time I look at the ornament on the tree, I think of your lovely painting of the cardinals sitting on a tree branch. It is very interesting to me that birds tend to sit together on tree branches, just as you portrayed in your painting.
