Your guitar would be the main attraction of a music festival. All of the band members would want their own copy. When do you start production? -- Papa

Hello Olivia, I have always thought pastels made the prettiest colors. Your pastel artwork proves that. -- Papa

An extremely interesting art form Olivia. There could be bazillions of different results. I see Batman in this version, Good work. -- Papa

I like the way your pastel watercolors fade into each other. That makes your pumpkins look very realistic. I keep wondering if there is a "Jack in the Pumpkin stalk? He wouldn't have to climb very high to get to the giant's castle. Every year a contest is held to find the largest pumpkin grown that year. This year the winner was a 1,969 pound pumpkin. The prize was $12,000. The all time World record is for a pumpkin which weighed 2,323 pounds. What a coach that would make for Cinderella! -- Papa

A very good job Olivia. I pulled up an image of Van Gogh's original "Wheatfield with Crows" and compared it side by side with your version of it. I give you an "Outstanding" for creating your version of Van Gogh's original painting by using only colored flour paste and plastic tableware. I am sure that Van Gogh had the very best of pigmented colors and brushes to work with to create the original art. Did you know that the official name for a group of Crows is a "Murder of Crows"? According to one source that official name came from an "old wives tale" (an unproven belief passed down between generations) that whenever a crow was behaving in a manner harmful to the other crows in his/her group, all of the other crows in the group would gather to decide if the actions of the Bad crow deserved capital punishment (Murder). -- PAPA

I love it. This is a really great depiction of an Egyptian Pharaoh in full head wear which depicts an Asp, two Scarabs, three Egyptian Palm trees and an Ankh. Did you know that the Ankh was referred to as a cross with a handle. The Egyptians believed the Ankh was a key to open the way into an after life. The Pharaoh you depicted was shown with the typical dark eye shadow and the golden false beard. The false beard represented a connection to their Gods. Both men and women could be Pharaohs and both wore the false beards. This is exactly what you would look like if you were the Pharaoh. -- Papa

Very nice art Olivia, this is an Egyptian Pharaoh complete with ornamental head wear showing an Asp, an Ankh, Scarabs and Egyptian palms. Both men and women Pharaohs wore the precious metal false beards to signify their connection to their gods. The Ankhs were also a symbol of their connection to their gods. Basically an Ankh is a cross with a handle which they believed could be used to unlock the gates to an afterlife. Who is the model for the face of your Pharaoh? -- Papa

Please tell me the meaning of this artwork. I see a tape measure and what appears to be a belt. Are you looking down a long flight of stairs toward a distant goal? Is there some kind of barrier or problem which makes achieving your goal difficult? -- Papa

Have you ever seen the Northern Lights Olivia? They dance and shimmer in different colors exactly like your art work portrays. When I went on fishing trips in Canada, the Northern lights were visible almost every night. Did you know they are caused by an interaction between charged particles emitted by the sun and the Earth's magnetic field which causes the gasses in the Earth's upper stratosphere to become ionized and glow. Like neon lights each different gas glows in a different color. Do you also know that there are southern lights which occur near the Earth's south pole? -- Papa

A lot of those 3 inch squares sewn together would make a nice looking quilt. Let's see, how many three inch squares would be required to make a seven foot square quilt? Does this seem correct? the quilt would over 49 square feet. Sixteen three inch squares would be required for each square foot. Therefore 49 time 16 three inch squares would be needed to make the quilt. How many squares is that. If you actually make one, you will have to make each square a bit larger that three inches squared so there is enough material to sew all of the pieces together. -- Papa

Hello Olivia, Do you know that the animal in your art work is an Aurochs? They are an ancestor of our present day cattle. They were hunted by the prehistoric Europeans for food. There are stories about how the Neanderthals use the horns of the Aurochs to assist them to vault up onto the aurochs' back. The Neanderthals did not have any long range projectable weapons such as spears or arrows so they had to subdue the Aurochs by direct contact and physical force. The Aurochs probably won more of the contests than did the Neanderthals. Both the Aurochs and the Neanderthals are now extinct. Much of the information known about the relationship between the Aurochs and the Neanderthals has been determined from paintings which the Neanderthals made on the walls of the caves they lived in. Incredibly there are some Aurochs' genes in our present day cattle. Geneticists believe those genes could enable the Aurochs, or something very close to one),to be recreated. A really great art work Olivia. -

Very nice work Olivia. How did you manage to get the bones drawn so symmetrically? If that is an example of your cursive work, I will never worry about tour ability to have the ability to write in cursive and be legible. I often am unable to read my own cursive writing. -- Papa

Very interesting piece of art Olivia. It is pretty and has a line symmetry about the point at the very center of the artwork. That means if you draw any straight line in any direction completely across the piece of art so the line passes through the exact center point, then the points on the line which are equal distant from the center will lie on similar shapes, colors, and objects. For that I give you a grade of 99.99%. The last hundredth of a percent I have deducted from a perfect 100% because if you look closely , you can see that the yellow parts on the orange leafs need to switched to the opposite side of of the leaf for just one of the orange leafs. Then you will have a grade of 100% for point symmetry. However, if you intentionally meant to create a work of art with a lot of symmetry you have succeeded wonderfully. -- PAPA

Hey, I thought Iron Man was a good guy. Why do you show him Resting In Peace (RIP)? Darth VaderI can understand, but why Iron Man? A lot of things come in brown paper bags. When your uncles were cub scouts in Florida they made imitation Indian deer skin vests and jackets out of large brown paper bags. When decorated with bright colored drawings of beads and bear claw necklaces, the items looked very realistic. The pictures of the entire cub scout troop dressed in these items were very impressive. Wow! A home in a lunch bag is a new idea. Perhaps, because there are so many homeless people you might get an offer from one of them to rent your lunch bag home. They also might inquire if it comes with free lunches. After all, it is a lunch bag. -- PAPA

This looks like one of those trees which a bigfoot has driven upside down into the ground with the trund down and the roots up in the air. Many upside down trees weighing as much as 800 pounds are found driven into the ground as deep as eight feet like this in Bigfoot territory. Really! People believe this is how a Bigfoot marks its territory. -- PAPA

This is an eye catching art work, Olivia. I can't decide whether it is an omelet or a pizza from outer space. I think I can see bacon, cheese, hot peppers & maybe bell peppers. What is the purple thing and the pink ring with embedded green circles? -- PAPA

A very intricate and beautiful design Olivia. It reminds me of some of the rag rugs my mother (your great grandmother) used to make when I was just about the age you are now. She would use scraps of material left over from quilts and clothes that she had made, braid several long strips and sew them together into colorful and functional rag rugs. She did a lot of knitting, embroidering, sewing and crocheting and made many beautiful quilts in addition to the rag rugs. Would you like to make a rag rug? It isn't very hard to do. -- PAPA

I wonder if this is a good egg or a bad egg. Perhaps it is half good and half bad. Therefore it is a representation of the Chinese Yin and Yang which are the goor and bad forces of life. It is for sure a good Easter egg and for that I rate your artwork as "EGGcelent". -- PAPA
