Ah, this is MY favorite! I've been waiting to see it. I find the bright red of cardinals'feathers to be exciting and cheering. They come to eat early and late - before most other birds arrive at the feeder, and after they've gone in the late afternoon. I don't know why that is, but it makes them stand out.
