Good morning Erin, When I saw your picture this morning it brought back memories of when my own two daughters (your Mom's cousins) were your age. Our daughter Rachelle was nicknamed "Shelly" so she was always very fond of seashells. We decided to take the two of them on vacation to Sanibel Island in Florida so that Shelly could see the seashells right on the beach. We asked Leslie what she wanted to see and she said, alligators! It was a long drive (like yours to Ohio but south instead of north) without movies in the back seat, only coloring books. And just as between Evan and yourself there was a bit of arguing back and forth between them. We finally arrived and we all enjoyed the beach very much, but when we got to the alligator farm, Leslie decided she didn't want to see them after all. I told her that she was going to look at them even if she didn't want too as we had traveled very far to see them. When she did decide to look at them, we were all very happy that we had the

Hi Erin, I really enjoyed your most recent art work! I had to go to the post office last week and while I stood in line, I enjoyed seeing art work done by children who live here in Rocky River. A little boy age 8 won the prize for "best in show." One of the reasons that I believe it was chosen was because it was very neatly done, much like your picture. Did you title your work? Maybe it is a painted puzzle or a pieced quilt pattern? Thank you so very much for sharing it with me. love, Aunt Lucy

Hi Erin, I am very impressed with your latest artwork! It has something akin to the famous artist, Van Gogh, about it. (Ask your Mother about Van Gogh.) I would very much like to know if you title your works and what the title of this one might be. I look forward to your next offering and I hope you always have time in your busy week for your art. It is really something quite special. Love, Gina

My dear Erin, When I opened my email account today I had a great surprise! And it was your wonderful "Blue in the Night" picture! The first thought that came to me was of a painting done by Vincent Van Gogh called "The Starry Night." I'm sure your teacher is familiar with the painting and will share it with you. But, honestly, I liked yours better. Your "Blue in the Night" picture seems to have secrets hidden that we can't see and has lots of mystery. Thank you so much for sharing your picture with me. I hope you are keeping your pictures in a portfolio so that you can treasure them when you grow up, because they are wonderful. love, Aunt Lucy

Dear Erin, I am so proud of your artwork. I like the person you did last best. I think you are getting better and better with each picture. I still have the artwork you did for my birthday on the refrigerator. I hope that you can surprise me at Christmas and do one just for me. I am very proud of you. Lots of love to you and your brother. See soon. Aunt Millicent

Hi Erin, I recently had a wonderful time looking at many of the pictures at the Baltimore Art Museum. I wanted to share with you that they have a very special collection of paintings created by a man named Matisse. Many of which were purchased by two sisters with the last name of Cone many years ago. When I saw your wonderful picture today, I thought of those pictures and hope that your Mom, or your art teacher could show you some of his work. I think you will agree with me that your work would fit right in with his! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Don't forget that you have an ancestor that came to America on the Mayflower and his name was John Howland. He was probably at the first Thanksgiving. Keep up the good work! Love, Aunt Lucy

Dear Erin WOW! We have an artist in the family; all that practice is paying off. We liked all of your drawings and are going to order notecards of the one on the right (when Grampy figures out how to order). When we send a notecard we will proudly say the artwork on the card was done by our granddaughter, Erin. Keep up the great work. Love, Doh-Doh and Grampy
