Matthew, this is a different perspective from your other art. From what I see this is from above and looking down over a big body of water. I can see a bridge and I can see boats in the water...and of course I see an airplane crossing the water... I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent airplane trip Grandmother, Kaitlynn and I had over to Europe and back? It will be interesting to see how this is integrated into other pictures to make a quilt... I look forward to seeing how that works out... Keep up the great art that you are cranking out! This is one of my favorites because you made me wonder what kind of animal is that? Very Cool...I don't know how you did it but the red and white makes that Elephant Elmer stand right out among all the trees and house that are in the picture... I didn't recognize the blue round object and the yellow flag looking thing that was behind the elephant but it looks like a sail boat to me... Great Artwork Matt I am going to get this picture on something for Grandmother Mimi for Mother's day... -- Richard

Matt, this is also a very very cool pitcure... You said this is WWII and that must be one of the very first helicopters that was being tested at that time.... I like the fact that this seems to be centered all around the tornado and you have used some very eye catching colors to bring out the emotions that you were feeling when you made ths picture... I think I will get this artwork on a mug....I like it that much... Good perspective on the plane that is flying... You will have to tell me why you titled this "A Western Thing".... What an interesting picture Matt! I bet it tool a long time to create it... I almost got dizzy in my chair just looking at the grass. I started thinking of jelly beans.. because of all the cool colors... and dots. It took me a while to find the hole but I finally did...;-) Really a very cool picture that is really "out there"! Love Grandpa Richard PS. I really like the cockpit and canopy on the airplane flying from right to left in the jelly bean sky... LOL LOL LOL.... -- Richard

Wow Matthew, what are those green vegetables on your plate? Next time you come over you will have to show me how well you can eat these up...LOL... I really like Elmer the Elephant... that was so well done... The rodeo picture scares me a bit because I see airplanes (which I like) but then I see the word tornado in the sky and that is the scary part... Keep all this good art work coming... very creative and thought provoking... Grandpa Richard -- Richard

Hi Matt, this is my kind of drawing...and engineer with arrows and words explaining what things are... Very very cool... Thanks for sharing it with us... It is very neat and helps everyone know exactly what things are and were they are... You have the makings of an engineer or a designer... -- Richard

Matt, I don't know how you did the very cool background on this picture, but I can tell that you thought about it a lot... I also like the bird and bug... I wonder if the bug has eyes behind his head, because I think that bird looks like he is preparing to do a left diving bank for a good looking yellow headed lunch! HA HA HA...I also like the very unusual colors onthe sun and the tree and the object that is on the ground..behind the bug... looks like a UFO, but heck water towers look like UFOs to me... Excellent work Matt!.. Love Grandpa Richard -- Richard
