Hi Sam, The carrot looks good enough to eat! Without sounding like a broken record, the drawing of the apple last year is still my favorite. Can't wait to see what's next. Love ya -- Grampa and Grandma
- on February 7, 2018
Wow. Sam this one is definitely creepy. Her eyes look evil and I think that was what you were going for. The face painting is very good. All in all, I think it is really good, even though I don't watch or read about scary things. Good job -- Grandma
- on December 12, 2017
Hi Sam, I disagree with you. I think the hand is drawn and shaded like a real hand. The lines in the hand and the thumb especially look real. Fingers looked a little lighter in shading, but the rest of the picture is very realistic. And as usual, still have to say the apple was the best! Look at it every day. -- Grampa and Grandma
- on December 12, 2017
Hi Sam. I went back to the first picture you drew for Artsonia. It was a portrait drawing and you have come a long, long way! This is good. The eyes look real, nose is in proportion to face, and the mouth has expression. Again, I agree with you. The teeth are a little large but all in all this looks like a happy, smiling man. -- Gradma and Grampa
- on December 12, 2017
Wow, Sam. This was not an easy kitchen tool to choose. The bottom half looks great, but I agree with you, the actual scoop part was harder to draw. But, I knew exactly what it was so you still did a great job. Keep drawing. I can't wait to see what else you do this year. -- Gradma and Grampa
- on December 12, 2017
This very interesting I've never seen a scratch board maybe you show me one. I like it and I can see that it could be difficult to do and time consuming. Keep up the good work I look forward to your next piece. Love GPa
- on September 27, 2017
Sam, this artwork is so good. Loved all the patterns and colors. Of course, Grampa loved the baseball player entwined in all of it. Keep drawing. You have many different talents, it will be interesting which direction your life will lead you. Love ya -- Grandma
- on September 27, 2017
I'm not sure what the purpose of a design board is, so it's hard for me to make intelligent comment on it. I will say with out reservations that I like all of your art work with some of the black and white shadow pieces. Well you know me I'm a person of colors. Please keep up your good work over the summer maybe we can get together with our sketch pads and pencils and do some drawings. Love You. Gpa.
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, Last piece of artwork for this year. This looks like this could be a bedroom layout for a home in Florida! Love it. Not sure about the yellow ceiling but I am old! Great year for art. Keep drawing. You have a great gift!
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, Not a fan of jellyfish. They scare me, even though I have never been stung. I liked the top part of the jellyfish and the shading was really good. I sit here this morning and again look at my favorite of all your work, the apple. Love you and have a great summer. Grandma
- on September 27, 2017
Now this I like your use of colors is to me stunning. Everything in the this piece work works. Well done. Love You Gpa
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, I can almost feel and see your hand doing this. It looks so real especially with the droplets of water coming off the hand. You captured this one for sure. Luv ya
- on September 27, 2017
Sam, Now this one is as colorful as they come. Love it. The crab is great. Keep up the great work. You can tell that you are enjoying this. Your work shows it.
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, This is very cool. I think I would enjoy it more if it was in color instead of black and white. You are so full of life and all the words you used to describe yourself were just that. Funny, happy and all the other adjectives are you. Vibrant!
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, Very good. It would have been perfect for you if you had a big salad next to your utensils. Keep up the good work our grandson of many talents. Love you Grandma
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, I have looked at this picture quite a few times and have decided you captured our City of Cleveland really well with all of the most important spots of interest. I think what you needed was a much bigger canvas to work on. There are so many important places to see and it would have been nice to have more room to show emphasis on them. Loved the trophy! Grandma
- on September 27, 2017
I like this it captures some of the landmarks of the area. Love you Gpaw
- on September 27, 2017
This a good likeness, have sent him a copy yet? Keep up the good work you have interesting interests. I like waiting to see what you will come up with next. Love you Gpaw
- on September 27, 2017
Hi Sam, This is pretty good. I agree with you about the eyes and I think you made his face a little longer than the model face. You could be doing composite pictures for the Police Department! It is that close. Apple still comes in first for me with Dory second.
- on September 27, 2017
I like this but you are right about the water color. It's lacking the depth of field. Love You Grandpa
- on February 1, 2017
This is a great piece of work. I think you captured the essence of her character as it is meant to be. Love it keep up the good work. Love Grandpa M

- on February 1, 2017
Hi Sam, Liked this one a lot. I have a feeling that you will be going into anything that has to do with fish when you graduate high school. You love these creatures and you sure know how to put them on paper. Good job. I was hoping a Christmas/Holiday picture would be next. Love ya! Grandma
- on February 1, 2017
Wow Sam. Now this one I had to study and even make bigger on my screen. You talked about letters and I had really look for them. I saw the S but the other two letters were not so boldly shown. The looks like true graffiti. Best to keep it on paper though. Keep up the great work. Grandma Judy
- on February 1, 2017
Hi Sam, I agree with you. You did a nice job on the eyes and eyebrows. Does this look like you, no. But it is so hard to do any portraits and this is really good for your first time. You know what's missing? Your quirky smile. Your are very talented in art. Keep up the great work. Love ya, Grandma
- on February 1, 2017
Sam. You have come such a long way as an artist! This whole picture shows such dimension from the ground up to the mountains and birds. Your dragon looks mighty and not something I would want to run into. Very majestic but yet mean. Keep up the good work. Your love for fish, flowers and nature shows in all the drawings you do. I still love the apple. There is something about that piece of work that just looks like I could take a bite out of it. Keep drawing Sam. You have a gift! Love you, Grandma
- on February 1, 2017
Wow. This really shows how much you love the fish tank. The detail is great and the outline in black makes it look so real. The size of it is sort of like the first tank you started with. I almost wish I could see it with the colored lights shining on the water! That's how real this looks. Love you, Grandma and Grampa
- on February 1, 2017
I think you need a bigger lite cool. Love you Grandpa M
