What an interesting image, Shyann. And very well done too! It happens that in less than 3 weeks I will be in Amsterdam. We may go again to Kinderdyk, where there are still a series of windmills. One alone was not powerful enough to pump all the water out of the farmland, so each windmill pumped water to the next one, a bit higher, until the water was pumped into the sea. Most of western Netherlands is below sea level and the buildings are supported on many piling so drilled deep into the swampy land and sand. -- Beth
