Dear Lauren, I would vote for you to be "Artist of the Year" for your class. Your drawings make me smile, they are soooo creative and they are always brightly colored. The colors help the drawing to stand out and become more beautiful. I absolutely love the flowers and the colors in the background also. I will ALWAYS treasure seeing your art. I love you dearly. Hi Lauren, I just saw your fantastic artwork of the fish. I absolutely think you drew the face of the fish very realistically and the color is my favorite!!! Think I have seen that fish swimming in the ocean here....or maybe it was a fishbowl. ha! I know you are very talented and I love to see your artwork! Keep up the good work love! Grandma Burke

Dear Lauren, I really LOVE your artwork of water lilies. Your blues snd yellows reminded me of his real water lilies in his pond at Giverny in France. Do you know that Claude Monet has always been my favorite artist? I love his florals. He loved to garden and his artwork is from sitting in his gardens and drawing. Gee, I wish I could draw my gardens and flowers. He was blessed with a gift of drawing, wasn't he!! I was also blessed to be able to go to Giverny, his home, and see where he lived. I got to walk through his "very colorful" home and gardens. I even got to stand on the bridge and take a photo from his water lily pond. In all my travels, this visit had to be one of the most memorable. I am sending you a postcard of your water lilies and hope that you will always love to spend time in a garden and treasure the miracles worked in it. I love you so very much. Grandma B

Dear Lauren, We saw your new artwork of the opera mask today. It is really neat! We love the different colors you used and the smile! I like the different kinds of materials you picked out. Grandpa can just imagine sitting at an opera watching this mask on one of the characters. We also reviewed all 13 of your artworks and my favorite still is the sunflowers. But we both love them all. BUT...not as much as we love you!!

October 22, 2010 Dear Lauren, Thank you soooo much for allowing Grandpa B and I to see your artwork. We LOVE it! In the animal print we love how you used three colors for the animals and then the regular pencil color for footsteps. How creative you are!!! Have to say the sunflowers is grandma's favorite. It is like a drawing from a famous artist - Monet. He was a man who lived in France and drew a lot of outdoor scenes, flowers and landscapes, etc. I visited his home where he lived when he was alive in France. Wasn't I lucky!!! The smile on the little girl made me smile. Best part of the drawing!! So cute!! Bet you had a smile on your face when you drew that! Also the many colors of the freehand draw are happy colors. You chose well. We are so proud of you! You are wonderful at drawing. Please continue to send us your artwork. Please allow us to be selfish right now: for Christmas we would love for you to draw us one of your pieces. They make us happy!!! Love you
