Really like this one. Looks very american indian in style and colors. I see a bird with feathers. The treatment of the feathers also reminds me of flames. Like a phoenix.....which is also a city in Arizona - a state you are going to visit. Uncle Sam

I like this one very much. Instantly thought of Georgia O'Keefe (who was from Sun Prairie WI) and one of her famous flowers. The stark simplicity of the black lines on the intense orange back ground also appealed to me as did the longer pettles on one side of the flower which suggested a blowing wind to me. Uncle Sam

I love the contrast between the light and dark lines of the cross-hatching. It makes the flower stand out so clearly. Good work, Jeremy! Grandma Judi

J, I like this very much, the yellows and blues on the red background create vibrant contrasts. The placement of the shapes on the background and the use of a black background for even more contract drew my eyes to the central object. The first time I looked at it I saw a very scared cat. The second time I looked at it I saw eye glasses in the shape of a cat. Way Cool. Uncle Sam -- Samuel

I am not much of a football fan, so I ignored the lettering. My focus was drawn, as I suspect was the artist's intent, to the object which intrudes into and disrupts the letters. On the one hand, it looks like a wedge formation advancing against the blocking line of the letters in keeping with the football motif and theme. On the other hand, it looks curiously like a torah with its wrappings, perhaps symbolizing the trimuph of sprituality over the worldly focus on events like football. I will enjoy discussing these questions with the artist in person. Uncle Sam

Van Gough-like use of strong brush work and vibrant colors. Very creative. Did you actually catch the bug which was the subject of the drawing? Did it hold still while you were drawing its picture? If you drew it from imagination, then I am also impressed? dat unc - Sam

J, This looks like a very interesting piece. I would like to know "the how" of making it. It looks like you use part of an evergreen tree and some netting like material to create some of the patterns. Why did you chose those? How did you get the images into the clay material? I even like the pale tan color of the body of the plate. I assume the original is available for inspection. xx Uncle Sam
