Poppies are my favorite flower when I'm remembering our fallen war heroes-- "Lest We Forget on Remembrance Day.

Love the boldness of these colors, balance of black and 3dness of the shading. Looking back at last year’s I see developments of confidence and progression in technique.

Emily, I love your creativity. And I am fascinated that both of your creations involve things that soar! Keep on with your passion.

I like your use of shape as well as color for your butterfly! Your quilling is nice and tight, which can be a difficult technique to master. I really love the name- Butter on the Fly!

Wonderful vivid colors- you’ll have to tell me more about your technique! It looks like your inspiration may have been the flower garden you are growing!

Emily, This is a favorite because it reminds me of the prairie lilies that grew wild in the fields on the farm. Grandpa would have loved this too because it was his all-time favorite flower.

Emily, I love the 3D perspective. I can just imagine walking down that prairie trail and looking up at that marshmallow cloud.

This has such a peaceful vibe. The more I view it, the quieter I feel. It feels so open, as though I can feel a breeze as I meander through the field.

Emily, I love the detail of the lavender plants--especially well done using watercolor. The sunset makes me wish I was there. I'm glad that you find joy in painting. I have always admired a great watercolor. Keep on painting!
