Alena started an after school art class for 6 weeks. It is a step-by-step directed drawing program with a designated assignment each week. They teach different art concepts and techniques, and there is also an art history lesson each session. So fun!

About this school project: In this lesson students get to read the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds and learn about the artist Wassily Kandinsky who created "Squares with Concentric Circles". Students then are given the choice of materials to create their own Kandinsky inspired piece. They get to choose varying colors, patterns, and lines in their work.
