Hello Charlotte Mae!! What an exquisite drawing you made. I am thinking it is a self portrait of you in a cute outfit. I particularly like the bow on your shirt. Funny how you draw a bow on your shirt, but not in your hair!! That's because you don't wear bows in your hair - much to Nana's chagrin!! That's OK! You are still as adorable as ever!! Tres bien!! Tu est une artiste fantastique. (Very good! You are a fantastic artist!) We love your colorful Eiffel Tower. Are you going to draw the Colosseum in Rome next? You will learn about the architectural designs of the Romans - the arch and 3 different types of columns which you already know from our drive through Camilla, GA as you travel to and fro from Nana's and Grandpa's. Do you remember the 3 types of columns? The very plain ones are what? DORIC. What are tje cinnamon roll ones that have the swirls on both sides on top? Starts with an "i" - IONIC. What about the fancy smancy ones with Acanthus leaves at top? CORINTHIAN Did you remember all those? Nana loves you!!

Char Char, Wonderful!! I knew right away that it was the Statue of Liberty!! Aunt Sissy and I took a boat ride in NYC and saw the Statue of Liberty in the harbor. You are right....it is green! I love the green hue you made yours!!

Char Char - You have been busy drawing Winter Wonderland pictures!! I love the snowman you drew in addition to your pretty purple mittens. Nana and Grandpa ordered lots of things for winter that have your artwork on it. I can't wait to drink hot cocoa out of the snowman mugs I ordered!! You are such a skilled artist and I LOVE seeing all your creations!!

Hi Char Char, Nana just ordered a coffee cup with this artwork on it. It's so colorful. I love it. I sent Mommy a pic of my cup. Be sure to ask her to see it! I was hoping you would create a Christmas picture, so that I could make an ornament out of it. Nonetheless, looking forward to seeing your next masterpiece!!

Char Char, Nana is in Italy right now. The museums in Rome have some of the most amazing art in the world and the city itself is full of beautiful architecture, both very old and more modern. I must say that your 2nd piece of art rivals what I am seeing in Italy. Some of the patterns you have made in this piece remind me of what I am seeing in Italy. I will show you my pictures pointing out some of those patterns when I see you next. The colors in the 3rd piece are exquisite. I can tell that you were inspired by fall with the autumn colors and a splash of green from those last trees not turning yet or all those pine trees in GA. And the brilliant blue sky w that patch of blue you added - excellent!! I really like this artwork!! We have seen lots of beautiful sculptures by an artist named Michelangelo here in Italy. Even though he did not like to paint, he created a most beautiful scene on the ceiling of the Sistene Chapel. We couldn't take pics, but I will show you a postcard when I return. Bernini is another famous sculptor whose lived a long time ago, hit whose works are everywhere in Rome. Nana will try to fimd some books on these artists so you can learn more about them and be inspired.

Char Char - Nana LOVES your colorful artwork! It is so bright and it makes me very happy! I especially like the yellow you added to it! As you know, that is my favorite color!!
