This design reminds me of the South Pacific Samoan Islander screen printing on fabric--many interconnected elements, harmoniously related. We should use it on our Pysanki Easter eggs !

The variety of the shading and stippling of these lanterns makes them seem so much more interesting than if they had all looked the same. I also enjoy the branch they are displayed on--they look like kinsfolk together.

I really enjoy the blending of the neutral colors and the pop of lavender and green in the corner just to surprise us. Very carefully placed pieces helping to showcase what's important to the artist.
