Because you chose such beautiful artistic hues, your creative design showcasing impressionistic shrubs/bushes/ rocks, trees, fruit/seeds and/or flowers and the outlining/cross-hatching lines adding texture and depth help define all of the different elements found in your modern landscape artwork. Your artistic paper weaving has created a beautiful and colorful fish...though it looks friendly, I am not sure about those sharp, hungry-looking teeth! And, that it is swimming with its mouth wide open!! I like the way you used smooth, blended colors on the fins. I think the fins look great! They seem to make the striped body of your fish stand out or be noticed more!! Maybe your fish is not hungry at all...perhaps, he is just smiling as he swims along to meet new fishy friends!! Does he have a name, yet? If not, maybe we could name him... : )

What "dreamy" pastels you chose for your abstract art project! I want to mention that I have noticed steady improvement in your artwork as your school year has progressed. You know how to select colors that will work well together, and you also know how to blend two or more colors to create a brand new color. Your artwork shows how you have changed the color from a lighter shade to a darker shade until you discover the exact shade you are looking for. This adds interest and dimension. I so enjoyed looking at your artwork...I saw several colors in the waters of the ocean - including the hearts and other happy little details! I saw the waves and the surf, and then I saw the top and thought that this could be a pretty tropical flower, or it could be the big, bright sun sharing its warm beams of sunshine with each of us, or, it even could be a big, colorful, open beach umbrella to shade us from the sun's rays! Could it also be a friendly jellyfish floating along in the surf causing us to become more aware of God's sea creatures? Could it be that what I thought were gentle blue ocean waves along the bottom edge of your delightful artwork are actually a row of playful dolphin fins or, even a full set of jagged, sharp shark's teeth?!?!?! You, as the artist, will have to tell me the real story behind this inspiring creation one day very soon!

What a bright and cheerful sunflower! I see that you have made your sunflower's petals look real by using different shades of the same color-- a bright yellow, a golden yellow and an orange yellow. I notice that by using several shades of blue in the background, you have created a layered look. By adding the lighter-colored "curlicues," you gave your creative artwork some depth, dimension and design. The center of your sunflower is simply fun to look at, and it makes me smile! : )
