My mother - would be Gianna's great grandmother - used to say that someone who was acting a little crazy had "lost their buttons". So now whenever I feel a little crazy, I'm going to think of this picture and say "There they are - Gianna's got them; I haven't lost my buttons after all!!!

Gianna, I like the way you used your imagination during the extra time your Art teacher gave you. I like the way you combined drawing the trees with sculpturing the flowers. Oh and all the beautiful colors of the flowers really kept me interest in your creative design. I would appreciate you explaining how you made the flowers and what material you used to make them. Gianna, I just wanted to tell you that this by FAR is my favorite. When you told me your words and then showed me this art work. I literally walked away because I could not take it. Yes I was faking it a little, but Gianna you were so precious. Do you remember how the "cuteness" over came me and I walkted away? Wow a brand new project! I think it is wonderful that your Art teacher is introducing you to artists from different cultures and who likes to create artworks about pumpkins. Everybody likes pumpkins and I love all three of your pumpkins. I like that they are different sizes and different colors. You did a great job with your contour lines on the pumpkins and the lines that you used to give your drawing a three dimensional feel. Do you remember how we used the lines when we were drawing bridges and you said it looks like we could walk right into our drawing and right on to the bridges? I get the same feeling with this beautiful pumpkin drawing you created. Great job!

After careful examination - Some designs look like what you would see inside a cell through a microscope. I enjoyed this drawing and hope the artist continues - her work shows promise!

This is a great looking winter tree. I can tell it is a winter tree because of all the fluffy snow flakes. This reminds me of a watercolor painting I have from my mother, your great grandmother. It hangs in my office. I am not sure if you ever noticed it. I will show you the next time you come over. It is a tall and narrow painting just like yours. It has three trees and a weather detail of the moon peaking through the clouds . Your art work and Great Ma's are so similar. Maybe we can hang them together and we can have a family art exhibit. This is an absolutely beautiful flower garden. It is great to see the flowers are all so healthy. I also noticed that the little girl, the kittens, bugs, spiders and butterflies are all so happy. Beautiful flowers seem to make a everyone happy. Love you.
