Nice...

I remember doing something very similar when I was in elementary school, many, many, years ago! Working with clay is fun--maybe we can do something together next time I visit.

Very abstract, so difficult to interpret.

Your diorama reminds me of our view of the Kenai Mountains from our house. But our mountains are still covered in snow--it will be June before our mountains look like yours! I can't wait to hear more about what's happening in your 3-D masterpiece!

Ugh! I love it so much! It really draws me in and invites the feeling of a story.

Pretty cool, Hawk.

The Grinch's heart is busting out!

We really like your bold colors!

I think foot-bridges are the coolest things, and I really like walking over them. Your blues and green are so very rich!

I see lots of abstract hearts busting out of your artwork!

Tedi and I visited this spot in Monet's garden just last year.

I received an email from Artsonia telling me you had new artwork posted, and when I saw the small picture in the email I said, hmmm, that looks like a heart. Once I was able to log in and click on your picture, I read that your assignment was exactly that, to draw a heart. Well done!
- Oma And Grandpa(fan) on November 13, 2023
I knew it was a heart before I read the description, so I guess that makes it a good drawing, no? Very nice work, I think.

I like this one a lot

I really like how you did the background!

Hmmm.....a cat wearing his Halloween mask?
- Oma on November 13, 2023

I see a cute little multicolored bird flapping like crazy through a world of color.

I love it! And I see your mom's face in the yellow, watching you practice on your piano.

I didn't know about Clementine Hunter, so after I saw your art inspired by her, I looked her up and learned about her life and art. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to learn about her, and to enjoy your art!

This reminds me so much of winter here in Alaska!
- Oma on March 15, 2023
I love this one, Hawk!

Nice. Is that a bird in the middle? It looks like a bald eagle.
- Poppy Rob(fan) on February 8, 2023

Wow… this is so beautiful!

I'm eager to talk with about this picture, because I have lots of questions. See you soon!

Love the baseball cap, Hawk.

A great abstraction. Seems like a lot going on here.

I love this cardinal, Hawkins! I grew up in North Carolina, where the cardinal is the state bird, and I saw them all the time. They don't live in Alaska, and I really miss them. Thanks for sharing this one! Love, Oma

I love this, Hawkins. Love, Gma Tedi.
- Tedi on December 16, 2021
This reminds of a cardinal that had a nest in the shrub outside my window when I was in college. It showed up bright red like this against the snow.

When we saw the fish in your artwork, we immediately thought of the halibut and salmon we enjoy catching (and eating) in Alaska. We're looking forward to catching some fish with you!
- Oma And Grandpa(fan) on December 13, 2021
Lovely fish! The one on the right looks like a salmon!
- Ms. Emily(fan) on December 4, 2021
Hawkins, I love the watercolor in the background! Great choice in colors. The fish look so real! You did a wonderful job!
- Aunt Leslie(fan) on December 4, 2021
Where do I begin?? The top gosh and the water are complimentary colors. That makes me happy. The ripples in the water give it texture and movement. They are facing opposite directions, so it creates a little bit of tension. Well done, Hawk! Aunt Jenny
- Jen(fan) on December 4, 2021
I love it! I like that the fish are different from each other, and the purple stripe in the water really draws my eye to it.
