wow! did i miss this one?!! It actually LOOKS like music!!! Hard to tell, but I think you used various kinds of paper, including some with writing on them, a true Collage!!! Excellent!!

Oh boy!! More Art!! This one is interesting...looks like it was done in 2 parts. I like the marbleized-looking painting, which would even be cool by itself. It looks like the black paper actually goes around the edge on the left but got cropped off in photo. The top of the negative/positive shape reminds me of a cat, the ears and the whiskers (I do love my cats!!)...but someone else might think of something else when they look at it, which is what makes it so interesting! I'm really impressed about all the techniques you are learning..I wonder if you have a favorite?

opps!!! missed this one! A lusciously, sweet cupcake with plenty of icing and a beautiful pink swirl- what's not to like? YUM!

I took a weaving class in college...like you, learned to set up a loom. The only difference is yours is much better than mine- your weave is so beautifully even! Although the job you did with potholder (which I use ALL the time) was amazing, so no surprise. I remember liking the rhythm of it, and watching it appear. The house is so clever. The way the roof angles in, which is more complicated than might think...plus the smoke is perfect! You obviously have patience, not usually my strength, but when making stuff it feels much easier

this is great!!! All those bursts of color, best fireworks show ever!!! I particularly like the purple sky; the nighttime sky in the city actually does look more purple than dark blue from all the light, even more with all those fireworks! While looking at it I suddenly recognized the AT&T building!!! This is Nashville!!! It love that there is a whole story of time and place without using a single word..

oh boy!!! new artwork!!! I LOVE this! all that HAPPY feeling from those bright, sunny colors. It's so simple but honestly doesn't need anything else. The perfectly, unperfect circle of the peach, which is how peaches are; that WONDERFUL shadow it casts, so it's actually sitting on the table and not just floating in space...and with just the right amount of space on both sides to balance it all out. What balances all those colors beaming out is that single, tiny leaf, with just the right amount of detail in it.....Definitely my favorite!!!

You're really getting to play with a lot of different mediums and techniques... watercolor, poster paint, cut paper, stamping!!! Have you found you have a favorite? All your pieces have a really bright, sunny feel...I love the yellow sky on this one, it really helps let the skyline stand out, and how each building is different...I think I like the one on the right best...the points at the top remind me of turrets on an older building, just more interesting to me...keep 'em coming!!!

I was really happy to see you've completed another project! This is a really fun poster, what a fun way to learn about warm colors like red and cool colors like blue...I don't know if it was your idea to use a heart, but I love that you made it blue instead of the usual red...Plus all that bright red behind it is great-it looks like the heart is floating in it...what a happy piece!

This is a really fun piece!!! I love how much detail you put inside of the snowglobe...I bet you worked on this quite a while; first thinking up what you're going to do, then cutting everything, and finally, gluing it all down... It turned out really wonderful!!!!

I really like all of your drawings, but this one is really beautiful. I read how you used black glue for the lines, so it looks like stained glass. I love the purples and greens!!!

This is great, it looks a tie-dye. Always a surprise how it looks when you open it up. I like how you used the same colors in the rainbows in the corners

This is like an illustration out of a book. It's amazing how much I can tell without any words. I might not know her name but she looks like a really smart woman. One who is good at math and science. She might even be a scientist. It also looks like she lived a long time ago. Was she a real person?
