Hello Zoë, This is a very creative piece of artwork. You do a great job with layering, and creating a 3D illusion. The color and texture of the background allow the flowers and the vessel that the flowers are in to pop out at you. At first glance, I thought of Van Gogh's artwork. Keep up the good work and I can hardly wait to see your work displayed at the Naperville YMCA on 95th street this week.

It is my opinion that adding a frame around the objects in this painting appears to be containing the objects. Using the bright colors on a black background gives a 3-D effect. The coiled, zig-zag, and straight lines connecting the figures, present an intense sense that if the frame is removed, the objects would fly in different directions. This artwork is stimulating to the senses.
