I immediately thought of this. When I was about your age I was at my friend's house who had a gumball machine just like the one in your drawing. For a penny you could get a gumball. So I ran home and got a fistful of pennies but when I returned, my friend said I could only get one, otherwise there wouldn't be any for later. I was so mad!
