Beautiful work, Evelynn! I get lost in just looking at the detail that you show in the smaller parts of your art. Such as the smiley face, the upside down hearts, and what looks to be like a rain cloud. Your talent increases with each painting. The way you fade your colors from one section to another as if there is a shadow is very impressive and well beyond what would be expected of an eight year old. And your choice of colors are so pleasing and calming. This is one of my favorites.

Evelynn, this may be a simple shape, but the way that you have used definition and texture in this artwork tells me you have a very good imagination for possibilities. Evelyn, all of your artwork is outstanding, but this one of the bird with the blue eggs in the nest is one of my favorite, and I remember it as being one of your first. You and your brother are developing into quite an artistic pair. Keep practicing, and experimenting with all the different tools and colors at your disposal. Someday people will look back on these early, artistic renderings and see that you have had quite a talent for many years. Keep listening to your teachers and learning from their experience.
