Nice job showing that the side of the purple planet that's facing the sun is lighter! By the way, I've been studying value (light/dark) too, in my weaving projects.

Nice work with the shading, to create shadows, mid-tones, and highlights! This gave the cute teddy bear a nice 3D appearance!

I love your use of shading on the eyes and nose. They look like buttons I can almost grab! And way to go -filling the whole page with pencil! That was a lot of work. Looks like a teddy I'd like to hug.

Rachel has made a Unique Unicorn — yellow and with a pompom on its head! That must have been fun. I’m wondering why there’s an eye on the tube. (T.p. tubes can be made into lots of different things, and we never run out of them.)

Rachel — that’s a cute unicorn flying through the air! The colors you used for her mane and tail look like sparkles to me, so that is special. It must have been interesting to use the pointillism technique in your drawing. That takes a long time to fill the space, right? I hope it was fun.

This is a good looking pizza! It is a really good choice for something that can be symmetrical. Did it make you hungry while working on it?

It looks like Rachel turned her “stick” into the horn of a red unicorn! (We are not surprised.) The unicorn looks a bit lonely, but the color bursts and yellow stars in the sky are pretty, and the field with big green grass is well done. I like it!

I really like the textures of the castle. I can see that it is old, but still strong. I also love that the three dragons are defending the castle, and Unicorn island, instead of attacking it!

This is one of my favorite pieces of art you have created! Unicorn mermaids! Mer-unicorns? In addition to the great subject material, I see that you worked hard on details like the scales, the reflections on the bubbles, and the shapes of the plants!
