I love this picture. Your perspective of the long row of pumpkins and the colors reminds me of why I enjoy the Autumn so much. I really enjoy your art. This picture is so well thought out. Well done Reese Love you Grandma Franca

Reese, you have done a really nice job with the perspective in your fall farm scene! Perspective is a good way to show distance in a landscape. Your big orange pumpkin looks really close to me…..like I could just reach out and touch it! And I like the way you’ve done all the little buildings that are far away. I’d have to walk quite a ways to reach them! This is quite a wonderfully large pumpkin farm. Just the kind I’d like to visit. Your artwork keeps improving and improving with each new project….great job! Love, Grandma Nancy

I really like this cityscape Reese. It reminds me of my days in New York City before a rainstorm arrives. The sky would turn from a light and bright color of blue or crystal clear to different shades of blues. As the storm approached the blues would change and blend different shades until the rain came. Then the whole area would smell of frest ozone and rain. Thank you for the memories. Love Grandma Franca

I like this cityscape, Reese! Wouldn't it be wonderful if all cities could be this colorful? This looks like there are probably many people who live and work here. I bet it is a very bustling place to be. I do like the colors you've chosen and I like the way your sky has a pattern but it also kind of has a flow-y kind of look to it as well. In art class terminology, we would say you have painted the sky "loosely"...which means you have let your paint flow where it wants to go, even if it goes outside the lines sometimes. Lots of artists paint their skies loosely. It's a good thing! Well done, dear Reese! Love, Grandma Nancy

Beautiful landscape, Reese! I love your color choice and how you've created distance between the up close trees and the mountains far away. Great work and can't wait to hang this one up!
- Morgan (Mother) on September 19, 2023
Reese, what a peaceful looking landscape! I like how you have shown the distance between the trees in the foreground and the mountains in the background by using darker and then lighter values. You must have a good art teacher. I'm glad she is teaching those things because it will make your paintings and drawings even better than before! Super job! Love, Grandma Nancy
- Grandma Nancy on September 13, 2023
Reese- I continue to be impressed with your artwork. I really love the Colorado landscape. You even captured our summer hazy sky, as well as our mountains. The mountains in the distance are so inviting, I am ready to take a drive up into them. Keep up your work
- Grandma Franca on September 13, 2023
This is one very fat and happy bird! Maybe she ate too much candy! Haha! Good job on the tree trunk texture and the branch…that is exactly how some barks grow, with little curly pieces and straight pieces as well. Your lovebird looks like she is perfectly happy just to sit in her tree all day long and think of good things! Well done, Reese! Love, Grandma Nancy
- Grandma Nancy on April 12, 2023
Such a creative piece, Reese! I love the flowers and plants in the background and the way each one is different and the way you made them curl this way and that…like real plants do. And I also like the way you made each of the butterfly’s wings a different pattern and color scheme. A very beautiful butterfly in a very beautiful garden! Well done, Reese! Love, Grandma Nancy

Reese, I love this hot dog truck! Your hot dog on the top looks good enough to eat! That would surely attract a lot of customers, as would the bright reddish-orange paint job on the truck. I like that you’ve added in a colorful awning too. Are those hot dogs shooting out of that speaker on the cab of the truck or is that a loudspeaker calling out ‘Hot dogs for sale!’ ? That would be cool if they were hot dogs shooting out! Haha! Love, Grandma Nancy

What an exciting winter mitten! Sports and snowflakes….a great combination! I love all the detail you put into this and I even see two little people sitting on the snow bank. I wonder if they are wearing their sports mittens? Or maybe they are snowmen who need a pair of your fancy sports mittens! ??

Reese you are a King who looks like a very kind and good ruler and leader…just the type of King I think you would be! You did a very nice job with your self-portrait and I love the expression on your face. That crown is really fancy with all those jewels and your neck-piece leaves no doubt that you are the King of your kingdom! ??. Well done, Sire!
- Grandma Nancy on December 28, 2022
Reese I think this might be my favorite piece. It is so hard to have a favorite but your use of color and shading is fantastic. I love the leaves and the topic captures and end of a season and the change in the environment so clearly. this is so beautiful. You are a very talented artist.:) Grandma Franca

Reese, this is so eye catching! I love it! All the textures go together so well....i would love to have a piece of fabric with this design on it! I think i would make a dress or a shirt with these beautiful colors and the leaf design. I would be stylin' for sure! It almost looks as if the leaves are floating on bright clouds in a sunset. I hope you are having fun in your art classes. I certainly look forward to seeing all the wonderful things you create! Love, Grandma Nancy xox

This is a very lively fishbowl, Reese! All kinds of creatures! And I love the plants and gravel at the bottom and the way you have made it so homey for all the animals who live in your bowl. Good work on making your bowl look round…that’s a hard thing to do, but you’ve done it well. You should be very proud of your artwork! I love it! Xo Grandma Nancy

Reese, I love the way your fruit catches the light. They almost look like precious jewels! I also like the way you have made the cherries hanging down. Your grapes look good enough to eat! I’d love to have a fancy bowl like that, and I’d love to have some beautiful fruit like that! Great job, Reese! I enjoy seeing all the wonderful artwork you have made
- Grandma Nancy on May 12, 2022
I really like this 3D still-life art project you made. The textures of each item in the bowl along with the colors make this such interesting art. I now find myself wanting to eat purple grapes! Reese, I also like the pattern on the bowl. It is such a nice detail and doesn't complete with anything in the bowl. You are turning into such a fine artist.
- Grandma Franca on May 4, 2022
I really love this beautiful flower arrangement you drew!! it is so gorgeous. From the colors and shading in the flower pot, the warm background color, and the vibrant pinks, whites, and yellows of these blooming flowers, you really captured the gorgeous zen arrangement. You are really turning into an excellent artist. You even made that line in the background that made your flower pot just pop right out of the picture. You are a far better artist than your grandma! I am so proud of the work you are producing this year. Can't wait to see what you create next.

What a lovely bird you have drawn, Reese! You have really done a good job of showing all the details of the feathers and the little bird's face. It's no wonder that this bird looks happy....I would be happy too if I had such a colorful and strong looking home! You did a great job with your weaving on that nest. It looks like it could hold a whole family of birds. Such a nice piece of artwork, Reese....I really enjoy seeing all of the wonderful things you have created! Love, Grandma Nancy

What a beautiful frosty looking day! Those skaters look like they’re having so much fun! I love the way you showed the marks that their skates make in the ice…it looks like they’ve been practicing their zig-zags and curlicues….maybe even a spin or two. Their cat looks like he might like to try to learn to skate too! But he would need four skates, wouldn’t he?! I feel like I’d like to jump into all that fluffy snow you made…haha! Great job, Reese….it’s a winter wonderland! Xo Grandma Nancy

Reese those are some super duper Galapagos turtles! They look like they are very heavy. It’s a good thing you gave them some nice strong legs to carry them across the ground! And do I see a nest with some eggs? I love all the bright colors you used. It looks like you used paint, crayon, and maybe some marker to do this beautiful picture…..am I right? I would love to see these wonderful Galapagos turtles in real life!
- Grandma Nancy on December 1, 2021
Reese, I think your artwork just keeps getting better and better! Those pumpkins are beautiful….so plump and bright. I like how you noticed all the long lines that pumpkins have all the way from the stem to the bottom of each pumpkin. And your owl looks like he is really enjoying sitting among the pumpkins in the moonlight! I like the way you made his feathers and his face. Looks like he is thinking about something interesting while he waits in the pumpkin patch! Well done, Reese…..another wonderful piece of artwork for us all to enjoy! Love, Grandma Nancy
- Grandma Nancy on November 17, 2021
Reese- I really appreciate the fall colors you used. You blended colors so nicely. It reminds me of the pumpkin patch we went to. Your art is so well thought out. I like this picture very much

Reese, I just love this vase of flowers! I can tell that you worked carefully and thoughtfully while you were painting the beautiful flowers and the fancy textured vase. I also like the way the black background makes the colors look so bright! This makes me feel happy just to look at it. Keep doing your wonderful artwork….you are very good at it! And I hope you like art as much as I do! Love, Grandma Nancy

Reese, this is one beautiful bunny! I love how you took your time to decorate him with so many different kinds of lines and patterns. If I saw that bunny in my yard I would think he was magical! I think I would like him for my friend! His heart-shaped glasses are pretty snazzy too...perhaps they help him to find carrots and hide eggs when his eyes get a little tired. I also can see that you are getting very good with your cutting skills! And how did you learn to weave those colorful strips of paper onto your background? Maybe you can teach me that when I come and visit! Love and kisses, Grandma
