This piece, to me, is bubbling with emotion. It's darkly humorous, using the Garfield the Cat character as a foil to, perhaps, suggest some deeper content. The use of color is inspired and lovely. The teeth are ghastly and well-executed. Nice work.

I liked this piece a lot when I saw it at home. The large eyes are very expressive, paired with the egg carton mouth. This is inspired and enthusiastic work.

I think this is a very fine rendering of our dog Orion. The drawing recalls a day when we all dressed up for a "fancy dinner" to celebrate making it through a few weeks of quarantining at home. Rafa put a tie on our little dog to include him in a family photo. But the drawing is mainly very good because it perfectly captures the expression of this dog - this is not a generic "dog face." And it's a fine subject because, while the dog's face is almost contemplative, the overall affect is funny because he's sporting a tie. I see a lot of layers to this drawing.
