Ellie you are getting so good at shading and showing depth in your art projects. I like how you illustrated the glow of the moon in your Halloween sky which highlights the flying bats in the orange hues on the night sky. Great job.

Ellie I like the colors used in accenting the strong simple rolling hills of your interpretation of a folk art landscape. The house in the middle of the drawing is a great focal point in the picture. Great job.

Ellie: The pottery bowl you made is beautiful. I like the way the bowl is painted.. the color is darker around the rim and you lighten the color towards the bottom of the bowl which gives added dimension and depth. Great job!

Ellie: Your bubble machine art project has great detail with the use of bright colors. The black and white back ground is perfect for the red gum ball machine to stand out filled with gum balls of many colors.

Ellie: I like your interpretation of how Matisse would use colorful and bright pieces of paper shapes to make his collage. Nicely done.

Ellie: Excellent job in your symmetry butterfly project! Just like in nature, the butterfly's wings are symmetrical, having the same design on it's left wing as well as it's right wing. Job well done using brilliant colors in the wing design. The background, that you created, makes the butterfly appear, to me, ready to flutter off the paper to someone's flower garden. Good Job!

Ellie: Your water color love bird project is nicely done. The blending of dark to light water coloring that you did with the birds makes the mother and her baby chick three dimensional and stand out. Nicely done!

Ellie your watercolor project of a cup of hot chocolate looks so inviting. It nicely suggests to the viewer that maybe it would be a good idea to have a hot cup of chocolate on a cold winter's day. How wonderful to include the melting of marsh mellows, a colorful straw as a stir stick and the cup of hot chocolate placed on a festive checkered tablecloth. Good job!

Ellie your picture of a Christmas tree in a window reminds me of walking around my neighborhood on a snowy day and admiring a Christmas tree in a window with beautiful bright and colored lights and how magical it looks. Good job in your rendition.

Ellie: Your art project "Ants in the Grass" is a great rendition of how much ants enjoy crawling amongst the blades of grass to find food and for protection. Your ants look happy and you illustrate great detail in your picture.

Ellie you did an excellent job on your biography portrait. Tracing is a skill. Your effort to be precise while following the lines from the folds of your subject's blouse and shawl makes her clothing look 3 dimensional. The variations and shades of color you placed from your subject's skirt adds to your attempt to capture dimension. Illustrating shadow on your subjects face is excellent because it shows how light varies the color of skin. Great effort in tracing off of a picture.

Ellie you did a wonderful job illustrating the snow owl in flight and the length of wing span and the power of flight of the owl. The snow in the blue back ground makes the owl appear to be flying toward you and stand out. Good visual dimension applied.
