What a beautiful, bright sunflower, Alex! By overlapping the many layers of petals you have created wonderful depth in your project ! I am also enjoying the way you have outlined and added detail with your black ink!

What a beautiful snow globe you have made, Alex. You have added so much interesting detail to your scene, that I am really enjoying exploring your work. I especially noticed how you used perspective when you drew the Hershey Kisses and the stepping stones. It adds depth and interest to your globe. The sweet treat house and goodies in your middle ground and then the beautiful mountain ranges in the background have really increased the 3 dimensional aspect! I can see that you have put a great deal of thought and effort into your drawing! Awesome!

Oooh , so pretty! What a colorful and lovely fall painting , Alex! It is so interesting with the variety of colors and sizes of leaves blowing in the breeze. I love how you did some close up larger leaves and some smaller in the distance! I also enjoy the way that you included the tops of trees, one larger in the foreground and a smaller tree behind the hill, very good perspective! I can see that you put a great deal of effort into this artwork!

Alexander, Your jelly fish is so beautiful! I especially admire the watery background with the flowing greens and blues. The brilliant colors in the jellyfish with its hard edges really stand out against the soft background of the water! He looks like he is floating effortlessly in the depths of the sea! Splendid work : ) Love it!

The cupcake paper holder adds another element of movement and design, Alex. I really am enjoying the variety of color and the painterly effect of this art! Love it!

You have made the picture very interesting by adding some slipping and sliding lines, curves and curls! The snowflakes show up really great against the black sky, and their little orange beaks are just the touch of color that you need. Fantastic art , Alex. Love Grammie

Alexander, This is a strikingly beautiful cardinal ! The scarlet color is gorgeous, and I love the way his wings are poised for flight! The snow and the wind marks, make the scene frosty cold! The pale blue sky allows the tree branches and your bird to stand out beautifully. Awesome painting, Alex. Love it! Grammie

Dear Alexander, The guy in your drawing looks like you tasting a snowflake! Wouldn't it be great if snow flakes tasted like root beer or chocolate. Anyhow, keep up the super drawings. They make me smile! Love, Pop-Pop

What a happy scarecrow! He must really enjoy his work! His plaid shirt, blue overalls and hat all make him look very authentic! He even has a pocket to store all of his treasures : ) The cornstalks in the background and the pumpkins in the foreground add a lot of depth to your painting! The green fields with the verticle brush strokes draw my eyes to the fantastic corn stalks. You really added a lot of detail to his hat, his smile and his stuffing. What great work! You even remembered to add the grooves to your pumpkins! Fantastic : )
- Grammie on December 7, 2021
Dear Alex, I just saw your scarecrow art project. But I think the crows would like to be his friend because he has such a big smile! Good job buddy. Looks like the corn and pumpkins are safe! Love, Pop-Pop

Oooh, Alexander! Your pumpkin still life is gorgeous! I am amazed that you are able to see that the grooves on the pumpkins are reversed on each side, that you varied the sizes of your pumpkins and you even varied the viewpoint, both front view and top view! I also love the twining vines and the orange color variations! You are a truly gifted artist! Love, Grammie

Alex, I think that your Vincent Van Gogh inspired night sky is amazing. Your swirling stars and colorful windows against the black buildings make a powerful impact. Vincent is one of my favorite artists and I am very happy to see that you are learning about him in school. I have a story about Vincent and his home in Arles , that we can read together when you come to visit. Maybe you can even make another piece of artwork for me. You might want to paint some sunflowers, since they were one of Van Gogh's favorite. Love Grammie
