Speaking of "love" -- I love this piece! The E is very Mondrian. I love your use of color to tie the letter O in with the other pink patch while also grounding it in the strong diagonal context of the L and V.

I love the giraffe's beautiful long ... neck. Did you know that giraffes have the biggest hearts, long way to pump that blood.

May I say ... that is one perky turkey!

You chose such vibrant colors for your turkey to offset its brown body - yellow, orange, red for the spread of feathers, a red wattle and a prominent yellow beak. This turkey really stands out!

Beautiful composition and the collage work is reminiscent of Matisse while the googly eyes are an excellent reminder that life is a constant surprise and we should be prepared for anything. Great work!

Wow! Your hedgehog definitely invokes Miro's early fauvist period while commenting slyly on the post-capitalist dialectic. And I love his Mona Lisa smile and his little pink tail! I feel like this hedgehog's got it figured out in a way that I don't yet.

Wow, Viv! This one makes me smile, because I love flowers! It reminds me of all the times you’ve visited me at the flower store and helped me with arrangements. I like all of the different textures and soft smudges - they really compliment the soft colors you chose. So pretty! Keep up the good work!

Wow! This one is a stunner. I love the dramatic use of figure-ground here. Such strong diagonals. The tension of the yellow beak extending into the frame at mid-left is perfectly resolved by the protrusion of brown turf at the bottom right. Super!

Your choice of background is reflected in the horizontal branch that your construction bird is perched on. I see that you used your favorite color pink with a touch of orange for the wing. I like the way you cut and arranged the pieces of the bird. I think you liked doing that. Nice balanced cutting. The green leaves on the brown branch are very creative and well done in small pieces.

I see you you used soft colors for the petals and the center. The open flower is almost floating on the blue frame. Did you make a fantasy flower or one you see in a garden?
