I am always impressed with Lilly's art pieces. This particular piece shows her ability to capture depth and dimension through her shading. When looking at the piece initially, I saw what appeared to be a small town that can be found in the middle east such as Bethlehem. I think it was the dome on the building in the forefront that brought me to this interpretation since domes are a frequent sight in those small towns. Since Lilly did not titled this work, perhaps those who look at the piece can see through their own imagination what the piece means to them such as I did. Wonderful art work, Lilly.

I am always impressed with Lilly's art pieces, but this piece shows her ability to capture depth and shadowing which gives the piece dimension. At first, when I initially looked at the piece I saw what appeared to be a small town in the middle east such as Bethlehem. The building with the dome led me to this conclusion; however, aware that Lilly had not named the piece I would love to know what inspired her to draw such an astounding scene.
