Very nice use of colors. Very bold. I like it a lot. However, there is some symbolism I don't understand. You will have to explain it to me someday.

Holli, When I went to your gallery I saw several works of art that I had not seen before. This picture of the trees and fence is excellent!! Are those Aspen trees? I would love to see all your artwork in person. Grandma

Holli, I love this picture of the pony in a landscape. There is so much detail in the picture--fish in the stream, sun, clouds and trees. I can see that you learned about perspective because the river is narrow at the top of the page and the trees are smaller at the top showing that they are far, far away. Good job at that! I also love the detail in the pony--his hooves, flowing mane, and spotted coat. It is very colorful. Keep up the good work. Love, Mimi

Holli, I can see so much growth in your artwork from K through 1st grade. I love this "Pony in a Landscape." It has so much detail-the fishes in the stream, sun, clouds and trees. I can see that you learned about perspective because the river is narrow at the top of the page and the trees are smaller as they are farther from view. I also love all the detail in the foreground with the pony's hooves, mane and spotted coat. Keep up the good work. I love your colorful pictures. Mimi

Ms. Timmerman continues her march to becoming a major force in the world of art. This latest work clearly exhibits her superb sense of the space-time continuum as reflected in the bold co-mingling of blue and green to create a tapestry of both movement and tranquility, punctuated with just a dash of whimsy. The use of stripes on the elephant to blend it into the pastoral background bespeaks both genius and humor. A rare combination in so young an artiste!

Holli - This is a bright and colorful picture. I love that Elmer is no ordinary elephant - his colorful hide is so unique. I think you captured the spirit of this book in your illustration. Bravo, Holli!

Another masterpiece from the hand of Holli Timmerman! In her latest work Ms. Timmerman returns to the use of a striking blue background to mute everything except the centerpiece: a rearing stallion which is offset in pure white and framed in bright red to make it standout. This is a bold move which seems to make the horse literally leap off the painting! Her creativity seems to know no boundaries. The viewer at once senses the artist's appreciation of horses and chili dogs.

With her latest work Ms. Timmerman makes a bold statment with her subtle use of textiles, as she continues her inexorable march to becoming one of great masters of 21st century art. The minimalist influence of the classic modernists Picasso, Chagall and Abby La Mama is clear in Holli's use of one color to convey the ferocity of her subject. Three cheers for Holli!

I particularly enjoy the way Holli has employed the striking blue cobalt color. It displays great creativity and a festive imagination as the artist continues her bold exploration of portraying the animal kingdom in all its glory. If I close one eye (especially the left one) it transports me to the icy, windswept climes of the Great Filchner Ice Shelf of Antartica, ancestral home of the rare Chubb-a-Blubb penguins. I look forward to some seaside scenes in the near future, perhaps with crabs and fishing boats.
