Dear Students and Families,

I want to THANK everyone for coming out to the Kindness for Paws Art Show at Street Fair! Even though the animals were a no show, we still managed to raise $225.00 for the Sacramento Bradshaw Animal Shelter. I also want to shout out to LEAP that funded my Donors Choose Project We Got the Moves Like Warhol by matching funds with Aspect Ventures. YAY! We are screen printing this upcoming week! Lastly, The Harry Potter for Hospitals Donors Choose was funded in April as well. Now Sierra Garrett has about $1000.00 worth of brand new Harry Potter booksets to donate to a pediatric ward. April has certainly showered us with amazing opportunities!

Again, Thank you for all of your continued support!

Just for Grade 7

Sewing for Paws has begun! Needles will be flying in Expressions for the few weeks as students learn a variety of hand sewing techniques. Though some students may not look forward to this unit, I am positive that students will grow to love it and will look back upon this unit with fondness.

Just for Grade 8

Street Art has taken over Room I-5! Students have learned Shepard Fairey and will create a stencil to screenprint on a T-Shirt. This T-shirt does not need to be new. Some kids are even bringing other things instead of a T-shirt to screen print like pillowcases or tote bags. Please remind your child to bring something in to print by Tuesday, May 2nd.
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
