Wow! 2015 ended with a bang! Looking back on the year and the projects our students successfully created we feel very fortunate to have the ongoing support of our parents and families. Thank you and Happy New Year!

P.S. Here is a link to the Expressions Blog and Website where you can read about the latest and greatest about what's happening in the classroom!

Just for Grade 7

Way to go, 7th grade! The Lit and Art Exhibit will remain in the MPR Gallery until February 4th. This is a fantastic showcase of the hard work students did over winter break creating their Block Letter Sculptures- they are truly amazing! We are currently wrapping up the final project of our Scaled Art Unit. This Math and Art Unit includes a Paper Model House, Gridded Looney Tune using oil pastel, and a Self Portrait in the style of Chuck Close. The next unit will take us back to the Middle Ages! This is an exciting unit with engaging materials like aluminum tooling, ceramics and collaborative gothic paper mache cathedrals! Some materials and exhibit help are needed for this unit. Just for Grade 8

Congrats to the entire 8th grade class for the amazing 33 Book Title Ceiling Tile Murals that are exhibited in The Lit and Art Exhibit and will remain in the MPR Gallery until February 4th. These murals will be installed the the Media Center once the exhibit comes down. Another thing to shout about is having our 8th grade inkbot monsters published on Stepfan G. Bucher's Daily Monster Website- whoot- whoot! Up next is the Middle Ages Unit featuring dragons, string art and heraldry! Some materials and exhibit help are needed for this unit.
