Term Two - Upcoming Projects for Junior Four

This term consist of 11 full weeks.  Below is a list of what I hope to accomplish in those weeks.  As students complete these projects I will photograph their pieces and keep a digital portfolio of their work.  This work can then be shared with family and friends. You can even create personalised items that are just great as original keepsakes.  The other side to this is that any keepsake you pruchase 20% comes back to the Rosewood art program.  So help spread the word and get our girls beautiful art work shown around the world.  

Term Two January to March "The Elements of Art Revisited and The Principles of Design" - Artist Study - Pablo Picasso, School of Art - Cubism

Week One and Two :- Line, Shape, Form, Texture and Colour (Warm and Cool and monichromatic) - Project - Pablo Picasso style drawing,  showing contour lines of shapes, shading techniques to create form and texture and then coloured in warm and cool colours and some shapes in monochromatic colours.
Week Three and Four :- Line, Shapes, Form, Texture, Colour (warm and cool, neutral, tints and shades) and space (foreground and background) - Project Pablo Picasso portrait using netural colours for the bacground then warm and cool colours to show emotions on the two sides of the face while adding tints and shades to create form and texture to the drawing.
Week Five and Six :- Colour, Line, Size, Rhythm, Pattern, Shape and Texture - Project Pablo Picasso inspired face masks.  Air Drying Clay required.
Week Seven and Eight :- Space, Line, Colour / Value, Rhythm and Pattern. - Project - A watercolour landscape. A look into Pablo Picasso landscapes and its cubism style.
Week Nine and Ten :- Form, Value, Space - project Oil pastel still life, creating form by use of shading and using tints and shades.
Week Eleven :- Space, Value, Form, Unity and Balance - project - Chalk pastel still life drawing of a bowl of fruit.

Please note this is a general outline and completion of the above projects depends on how the students work.  Some projects may take longer than others.

Just for Junior Four Students
REQUIREMENTS:  Each student will be required to bring one pack of air drying clay, for Week Five.  This can be purchased at Superpham or Stationary Plus.  Also, a large pack of wet wipes, this helps with the clean up process as there are no sinks in the classrooms.
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
